Mission:       GCR was founded in 1989 with the purpose of supporting people who seek asylum in our
                        country in order to escape from persecution in their home country.

Objectives : Improve its existing services and create new ones always aimed at providing solutions to
   immediate problems and the achieving of social integration.
   * Broaden its services and its action to other regions of the country than the ones where it works today.
   * Continue the offering of Social and Legal services in issues of asylum procedure both in and outside the
      borders of the country.
   * Disseminate its acquired knowledge and experience to other countries, with reference to asylum
      procedures as well as to the configuration of social policy.

-  Target:  Asylum seekers

Activities:   Legal assistance to asylum seekers and refugees.
   * Assistance to newcomers, who request asylum, in order to meet their immediate needs for shelter, food,
      clothing.
   * Psychosocial support, vocational counselling and guidance of refugees regarding their integration in the
      Greek environment.

KEY WORDS :  Right indivisible & fundamental ;
                         Undocumented migrants: destitution, refused rights, barriers & facilities;
                         Gap between declaration & implementation, legal & juridical recours.

TOPIC:
Vulnerability of fundamental RIGHT (indivisible) : ephemeral legislations, (ex. irregular migration considered by any national low as crime !...) and norms often contradictory with fundamental ethical, deontological, humanists rights & principles,  (ex. detention camps, invitation to denounce - as spy - undocumented migrants, indiscriminate rejection, pushing back, not assistance to people in danger...), are deep 'vulnus' wounds in civic society.

WHEN  Right is unrecognized and denied...
THEN   Health: social, physical and mental is wounded...

http://www.smes-europa.org/bullet_right.gif  Against indifference and resignation, which individual, collective, institutional position it is still possible to
   take ?...

http://www.smes-europa.org/bullet_right.gif  Which kind of educations & training for new culture, and which proposals to formulate
   and to recommends ?...
